Lymphoedema

Lymphoedema is swelling that occurs when lymph fluid builds up in the tissues under the skin. (Cancer Council)

Lipoedema is the accumulation of fatty cells under the skin in response to extra fluid in the tissues. increased capillary filtrations.

I am a member of the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA) and have advanced training and experience working with lymphoedema in all parts of the body. I value continuing education in order to improve practice delivery and patient outcomes.

I provide Complex Lymphoedema Therapy (CLT) to manage Lymphoedema and Lipoedema. This involves massage, skin care, compression, and education for self-management.

Because Lymphoedema and Lipoedema are chronic conditions, management can be very expensive. I will support you in applying for government assistance to improve your access to the most suitable garments for you

Excellent information on Lymphoedema and Lipoedema can be found at Australian Lymphology Association (ALA) website (https://www.lymphoedema.org.au).  If you have Lymphoedema, I would encourage you to consider joining a support group I am part of the Hornsby Lymphoedema Support Group – for more information check out the website www.lymphoedemasupport.com.
