Wound Care

I trained in wound management with Gary Bain, ‘’The Wound Guy’’, and have specific training in the management of wounds in the presence of oedema. I presented with him at the National Wounds Congress in 2018 on management of Lymphorrhea and have his ongoing support with wound management.

Lymphorrhea is the name given to the clear sticky fluid that may leak out of swollen areas. It is most common in the legs and requires compression to improve. Despite frequently rendering patients house bound for extended periods, Lymphorrhea responds rapidly to treatment.

Wounds will heal more slowly in the presence of oedema, and compression is required to support the healing of chronic wounds. I am qualified to prescribe the right compression for your wound care needs.
